Multiple generations of commercial machines

At Zond Systems (1980 to 2000) and Clipper Windpower (2001 to 2010), this team took wind from prototype to mainstream competitiveness. They started when wind stood where wave energy stands now.

Each technical challenge produced new machines, from the mass roll-out of variable-speed turbines to Clipper’s distributed drivetrains, across multiple generations of commercial wind hardware. That knowledge is now working on wave.

Over 20 years of finance and operations experience, including CFO of a real estate investment fund and Principal and CFO of a water treatment business that grew from start-up to its sale to GE Water.

Senior Controls Engineer

PhD in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. Research spanning system modeling, control, power electronics, and electric drives for renewable energy. Collaborated with Anacapa for four years before joining full-time in 2022.

Ocean Engineer

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Renewable Energies in the Marine Environment, principally at Oregon State University, with a thesis on wave energy converter arrays. Leads mooring analysis and environmental risk.
